I went out to a local park in the middle of town that a lot of people go to walk, play basketball, hang out, etc. Also its right next to the highschool here in town. So yeah LOTS of traffic! Anyway, it was really funny....I was talking to a guy who was intrested in MDing, and he asked how many rings I have found(as I was digging my hole). As soon as I said 6 rings, all of a sudden OUT POPS 7! Right their in front of the guy just in the middle of me giving my total. Then I laughed and said, "well I guess that makes it 7!!":headbang: I have never seen a ring like this one, silver and HEAVY too! Inside instead of it having the .925 number, it just had sterling. My buddy told me thats what they put in rings before they started using the number. Any way back to the never seen one like this, CHECK IT OUT!! ::) Also a few other finds I pulled out of the same park that week.

I grew up in Texas and Arizona, I remember
those rings became very popular in the late
60's (shudder). My mama had one of them
AND a saddle purse. LOL

Quit horsing around there!!! Congratulations, that is a real neat ring you found there. It's certainly a much different saddle ring then most of us find.

Does the ring have any other marks on it that can id the maker? Hallmarkes etc.

Nope no hallmarks, just sterling. It is a heavy piece of silver though! :) I read someone said something about his mom having one in the 60's, I wouldnt doubt if it was from around then when it was made. When did they start using the .925, etc. on silver jewelry anyway?
