I went back out to the old elementary school that I always go to that was built in 1936. This time I found a section of sidewalk that was made of the same bricks the school was made of. I only dug good, strong, clear coin hits. I also made sure that the hit repeated on the display at no matter which angle I hit it. I dug far less junk and found a 1935 wheat penny. It is by far the oldest that I have found so far. The MD read 37 and put the arrow on "Si" in the word Silver.

Great find OBX! Thats in really great shape. :icon_thumleft: I still get excited finding wheat pennies, I dont think that will ever get old. This past week I found several with my safari, a 1914, 1920, 1925, and a 1941. Too bad that 1914 didnt have a D mint mark :-\
