Have been using my Safari and lately I've been getting mixed and broken signals in only one sweep direction. Seems to have great difficulty locking onto a target, even a good one. Confirmed something was wrong when I placed a lead musketball directly under the coil this morning. Half the time it did not even pick it up, and the other half of the time it gave me weak broken signals. I am suspecting that the coil is hosed but would like some input as well, thanks!

update: I just put on another coil, which is still pretty new and still getting the same issue. Cannot detect a lead bullet well, even 2 inches underneath the coil. Picks up a US dime but will not pick it up any further away than approx 4 to 5 inches. Need to use ridiculously slow sweep speed at that. So I guess coil issues may be ruled out?

Just shipped my safari out to Minelab. What a time to be DOWN!! All the fields are freshly tilled and no seeds have been planted yet! Ouch.
