Getting ready to pull the trigger on this hobby. I have read so many good things about the explorer 2. However, I am curious if I would benefit from the safari as it is newer and most likely has improved features. I want something that I can grow into and don't mind learning. I just don't have the budget for an e-trac. What say you?

I just got a Safari and I love it. I cant compare it to the Exp. because I have never used one. The Safari is very easy to use. Your best bet would go to the website; http://www.woodlanddetectors.com/ and call Mike. He will tell you all about both models and give you a deal that no one else can beat. I bought my Safari from him.

only explorer, its much more better and second hand cost less then Safari. minelab did quatro and safari for what I dont know, possibly just for profit. Safari and Explorer the same electronic boards but different program, they are the same deep and the same heavy, but safary miss good things that explorer has. ;D

I say I could have an E-trac but would rather an Explorer II or SE. A Safari is a step down.

I came across a great deal in the classifieds for an e-trac. If your going to get wet you might as well go swimming!
