Saginaw Area

Saginaw Area

I live in Clarkston, MI and hunt mostly in the Saginaw area, which is where my parents live and where I grew up. Anyone from that area? I'm looking for good places to hunt or for a hunting/research partner. I have found some nice things and have a couple of good locations to share.

I detected sagnasty for 15 yrs (1970s thru the 80s into the 90s) - there's not a place in that town I haven't detected! lol

I grew up there and so did my detecting buddies I used to hunt with over there - whatever's left in the ground there now though (in the sense of "old stuff") - is mostly in areas of town that you don't walk during the day let alone at night (it's not called "little Detroit" for nothing)!

new in the area as well living north area traveled alot through through michigan first time postdo alotof junk picken and store salvaging ... as far as digging i usually find piles of stuff and do my own used detector once twice still lnew at that ...

Ian where in Clarkston that is where I also live. Grew up in the Saginaw and Bay City area. We should head out some day to do some Md'ing before the snow came on Wendsday I found two nice silver dollars. 72's but a good start for 07.

Hey guys...I'm over near Grand Rapids. Rather than hunt Saginaw why don't you guys try up by Tawas? Plenty of beach up there and it's not all that much further than Saginaw. I used to live in Flint. Lived in Muskegon before that. Hunted Pier Marquette beach last month with my grandson; we only found $1.13 together...tons of junk. Looks like they are replenishing the sand as they had large sections plowed up.

The snow appears to be gone ; heading out tomorrow to a couple new spots...new for me anyway.

How far south of detroit Thorysus ? im more west, but getdown to the "DR" area often ..
