Sandwich glass?

Merry Christmas everyone let it be a happy one. This glass knob was found in the same river bank as the pitkin ink. It's a very large knob so I'm thinking its an old doorknob. I was doing a little research on the knob and I think there's a possibility that it is sandwich glass. Does anyone know more about this? -Justin
