Ok so I recently moved and I am getting used to the shore area where I live. So far I noticed the sales are hardly posted on CL. This is "follow the signs territory". My favorite!
Saturday morning I drove to a very sleepy little shore town nearby right by the water (and was DEVASTATED during the hurricane). Even at 930 there were hardly any people at the sales, which worked in my favor.
Picked up the following:
-1 gram 14k chain
-newer aluminum apple keyboard (this was on my wish list for 2 years)!!!
-working sony psp-3001 with carry case, car charger, 1 game, memory card, and 1 ps3 game (missing charger, battery, and battery door cover)
-stack of LPs (1 was worth $15)
-old NJ anthology book
-3 machinist leveling screw jacks (simplex and armstrong), these go for $25+ each
-old ship brass oil lamp with leveling gyro mount made by Kosmos Brenner
Also stopped at a local tiny estate/antiques store specializing in rare items. Picked up a gold filled indian head penny turned into a love token mounted to a gold filled stick pin. Also picked up a decent original 1876 IH for my collection. Paid slightly under ebay prices for both, but what the heck, ya know?
