Sat. & Sun. hunt. Merc, Barber, Rosie, & Washingtons.

Finally, the ground is thawing out enough to dig in my area. I haven't gotten out since the first week of February. A VERY long month of not being able to swing.
Anyway, I returned Saturday and Sunday to the site where I got my first 2 cent piece in the beginning of February, and I scored 5 silvers. I found the 2 quarters(in the same hole), the Rosie, and the 1892 Barber dime on Saturday, and the 17 Merc on Sunday. The merc was bent almost completely in half, and I straightened it back out.
Nothing was more than 7 inches deep.
Thanks for lookin'.

Congrats on getting out...After a wait that long those five Silvers were worth it...Hopefully it won't take that long before you can swing again...HH

I am awestruck when I think about the history that occurred over the years between those dimes were struck. WW1 between the barber & the merc, WW2 between the merc & the rosie.
