Saturday Adventures...........

Got out yesterday with some friends and hunted several different sites in Cullman county. Didn't really stay that long at any one place but sure got to see some amazing sites. Lots of CW action in and around here and managed a piece of a top tap, a little round ball and another a bit bigger but smooshed up. Also found a piece of chain that looks pretty old.


According to the owner of this property, this was an old CW route...



After visiting three different sites we headed for a location that has somewhat of a bluff. There are some overhangs that the local Indians back in the day used. You can still see the soot on the roof of the small openings.






Here's a pic just for Snoopy! I know, I know...probably could have left 'em there, but dang it was so exciting to find all this scattered everywhere!

Look's like it'll take you awhile the hunt the "route" Nana,if you're finding bullet's there's bound to be more.Awesome pic of the overhang's and the bluff....my kinda place.Glad you got out and Congrat's on your find's....HH!!

that chain may be part of a hobble. it was used with heavy leather cuffs to impede a horses movements. they could still get around to graze but could not run off. the cavalry used these because some horses tend to fight tied up by the head. plus it allowed them to feed .

Cool finds. How deep and if could remember what did they ring out at? What caliber rifle shell is that? Sorry about all the questions, I am trying to become a little more knowledgeable about detecting. Thanks for sharing.
