I attempted to wake up at 5:15 to get an early morning low tide beach hunt in before I headed into work on Saturday. The wind ripped out of the south most of Friday night and I knew it would cut the beach up pretty well. Needless to say, I didn't wake up in time. I did manage to get on the beach at 6:30 with only 20 minutes to spare. I have to punch the clock by 7am or I'm late.
I Hunted from 6:30 to 6:50am, swinging like a madman at what looked to be the best spot. First row of the pic is what I pulled. Two sinkers, 39 cents, a screw, a small thing that drove me crazy falling through my scoop, and got super lucky with the 14k mens triple ringer.
Went into work, the wind switched offshore, and filled in most of the good spots in a few hours. The second row is what I got in about a half mile of beach hunting in about 2 hours. Not good.
You have to be at the right spot at the right time when "wetsand" beach hunting. It changes so fast.
