Found these 2 about 10โ€™ apart at a 1860 preachers home cellar hole.

The ornate piece had me thinking solid gold as it came out of the dirt nice and shiny. Any idea what it was from. Most of the saw medallions I have found were the gilded โ€œWarrantedโ€ variety. This silver plated one is different.

Dug a very worn KG working my sifting program at a site where I found a 1749 KG earlier this year. You can make out her shield thingy and a few other items.

Here is the handful.

(EDโ€™s old tool tag?, Miners tags, melted IHP, ornate hair clip, pewter spoon handle, horse tack rivets, some sort of music Reed)

And of course a spoon.

Thx Steve. A big tree fell where the religious medals were found last year, but the underbrush is down. Easy swinging.

Your Brelknap saw medallion was made between 1860 and 1880 when the company name was known as shown on the medallion.
Prior to and after that period the company name had slightly modified wording.
Great save !
