SC Palmetto Button In The Sunshine Again !!

I found this on Saturday at the end of a long hunt along with a few nice flat buttons. It paid to keep the coil to the soil!! I knew the Union spent a night on the site but never realized the Confederacy ever was in the area. I guess that as Sherman advanced through SC, the Confederacy was alway just ahead of him. This is a button I'll always treasure since it came only a few miles from my home. It cleaned up really nice and still shines after all these years :headbang:

So true !! I'll post another pic tomorrow of just the button. I had hunted about 7 hours and dug about 50 targets. When this came out the ground, i thought it was a piece of squashed buckshot. The kind that hits a tree and kinda flattens out. Find a lot of them here. When I realized it was kinda light for that, I just had to take my phones off, put my glasses on, and hold my breath. WOOOOHOOOOO !!
