Digging in my old high school athletic field tonight . It has been closed for 25 yrs and now is the town park/community center . It gets pounded by everyone in the area but it's convenient if I don't have a permission or long to hunt. I dug a 12-40 signal that I had to get identified by someone on my Fb group because I had no idea what it was . Turns out it's a Queen Elizabeth II jetton token . Never know what's going to cone out of the ground

I have included one pic from the Internet of a non dug example

Very interesting, I have never seen that token before.

The guy who id it gave a link and that's the only mention of it I can find anywhere . According to the token page he linked its a rarity of 89/100 . Im looking and I hope I can find out when it was minted

Btw I put it on a dime for scale . I had fun chasing that thing around in the hole

That token is a different type of find for sure...neat score.

That doesn't detract from your find though :) Congratulations! I'd love to take an ugly lady home too :)

Anybody's guess on age, although I'd bet that it was made in 1967. I'll keep looking.
