My friend and I used to go out digging all the time. We found this about 18 years ago, he would always scout the spots and I would do the digging. I let him have the buckle but hinted that I wanted it later in life. He just gave it back today! It is a ammunition buckle from the Indian wars! We just called it a scout buckle because of the dog. Was found at a Colorado mining camp that saw a little military action. This one doesn’t have Orndorff on the back which is interesting. Thanks for looking! Nice military find. My avatar is a belt plate from the Indian Wars. I found it in Oklahoma 10 years ago.

Thanks Trezurehunter, I would love to find an Eagle, or any old military buckle. They are beautiful! I had to update my avatar:)
