Scrap silver today-- bar tomorrow!

Here's the plan the stuffs all dented and broken so it's going to the jewelers to be melted tomorrow into 2, 5 ounce bars. And when we get them done I will repost the pictures.

They kind of look like cigars when they're done but whatever. I guess unless I buy a mold for him to use. They are going to be sterling silver loafs.
 

You did this before, I think, and posted pictures, or was that someone else?
 

IMO I wouldn't do it. If you change a piece of marked sterling into an unmarked lump of silver colored metal you reduce the pool of buyers. I know I wouldn't be interested without an assay.

He is horribly busy. He said to stop back next week after Friday so I guess it's not going to happen right now... He makes custom stuff.
This is going to be made into something else.
