It was the first cool weekend of the season. I got out to the site of a long demolished neighborhood. They are redeveloping part of the site.
They scraped the top layer off of a large spot. Of course I thought that they had scraped all the bottle caps off, and left the old deeper coins.

I managed to eyeball a bunch of marbles

I dug a bunch of modern coins, and there was a good amount of trash, despite the scraping.

This is an Army Transportation Corps collar disc.

I got this nickel, it looked a bit silvery... sure enough big mint mark.

This silver Rosie was a shallow screamer in the middle of bulldozer tracks.


This worn 1920 Merc rang in low and scratchy.

Here is shot of all of the goodies. 16 wheaties and 3 silvers, I guess that there were a few old coins in that scrape!
