I found this yesterday in a farmers field. The guy I was hunting with found the exact same thing in a different area of the field...any ideas?
Screwy thing...CASE CLOSED...or not...yes...CASE CLOSED!

Uh....It looks like a brass ground wire keeper to me. You stick the ground wire through the hole in the side and screw it down on your ground rod, keeps it from coming loose.....or not? Monty

howi through the hat: looks like a old school welding tip bushing (?) you thread the welding tip into it and it onto the fuel source, the holes provide oxygen.
