Searching Cru's 2nd field

Cru and Shaun, here are photos of my finds. Over 60 buttons, that must be a record for me. For me I think the spinlead and the short cross John was my best finds. Really enjoyed the search, and the weather was just great! Thanks again Cru for your help. Before that we had found almost nothing in one week!

That fern leaf reminds me of New Zealand as it a National symbol for the Kiwis

i think if crusader invites you again you should be made to carry his lead collection to slow you down

Hi, no I will not be returning, we were both grateful that Cru invited us there, it was a great field.
But I never return to someone else's fields without an invitation, that's the way it should be.
It was just great of him to save our holiday (we didn't find much before that field)....

Wow Cru, you are SHARP. You are correct, I forgot it somehow? Here it is.

Can you tell me again what the other silver coin was, you know shown above next to the hammered short cross?

The button with the figure.... on is? Sorry, can't understand what you want to know....

WELL I HAVE TO SAY Shaun, you are really being nice to me . CARRY all his lead, YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING! (McEnroe).
But really you are correct, 100%. Maybe I should have one leg tied up behind the other, you know hop around. That should help for sure! I don't know what it is, with our club I (almost) always find the most stuff, not always the best though. I like iron though Shaun, let me carry yours the next time, no problem. Say, did you ever get your car cleaned up?

The number of buttons show that its a virgin field that is for sure. Maybe searched a bit, but not much. Otherwise the buttons would be gone. So the field will produce good finds for another number of years.....

The hammered next to the Shortcross is an Elizabeth I Halfgroat.

I was just making a statement really about the button. Its one I have never seen & I always like to know what everything is.

About the button, I think you mean the one shown on the upper right hand side.
Its really only a half button, only the copper outside is left. I will look at it and try to make a good photo and description for you. Watch this space....
