SEASON 8

Same old road that has been in photographs for decades is, "discovered" by the laginas........LOL

from that article:

A typical plot point: Rick and Marty get amped up when one of their digging crews discovers a piece of wood that - based on wood grain - could have been part of a pirate’s peg leg. The brothers fly in a certified splinterologist from Cambridge who performs numerous high-tech tests and excitedly gathers everyone around the table in the “war room” to make his announcement: the wood is, in fact, a toothpick from a Cracker Barrel restaurant, but DNA suggests it may have been used by one of Elvis Presley's bodyguards!

ROFL

But they are cleaning up at the Bank.

Good to hear that the Bank is still fully funded. Hopefully that means we'll have a season 9, where they can do the 'big dig' at the true location of the money pit, and lose more gold coins as they chip them off the walls of the shaft.

They have not given any reason for saying the road is over 400 or 500 years old. Where is the evidence? There would have been a road put up that way to the brick factory where Nolan's property is today. They also ran the power poles up that same road. Probably not more than one hundred years old. Just like the "Samuel Ball" golden cane top, nothing but a lipstick tube. And they were not made until after 1915. No treasure. They should cancel the show.

They some what gauge the age of stuff in that swamp based on how much sediment is on top of it...and the make up of said sediment. The main guy ( from the local college I think ) in the swamp is where that came from a couple years ago when he was taking core samples..

Why would they build a road thru the swamp to the brick factory when they could just dock on that side of the island. The current road they have found they claim is running towards the MP area which is not towards fred nolan's house.. I can't find a current pic of the swamp to see the road as they are digging it now to verify that..

Just because the water is there does not mean you can dock a ship there, the current could play a large factor in how easy it is to dock a ship

Now, why didn't I know about this cool Oak Island detailed interactive map before? I believe the imagery is from last summer or this summer and you can see the road exposed. Even in older imagery you can see the disturbance in the tree line. They keep talking about it turning right to head toward the money pit: if it actually does that, it will be a significant new discovery.

On the other hand if it continues its path through the trees, it heads straight toward Nolan's Cross. But I don't believe a team of oxen and ox carts could move those 9 ton boulders around.

Here is a 1931 Aerial Photograph showing the road on the right side of the Swamp and five or six power poles running towards Nolan's Property. The Brick Factory has already been torn down. Also they are half way down that side of the Swamp digging up the road. I see no turn going towards the Money Pit back to the North or Northeast. Oak Island Power Poles 1931b.webp

Here is a road they need to check out and it goes half way up from the shoreline to the Money Pit. This road goes to a shaft hole.Oak Island Road2.webp

The "Fred Nolan Cottage side" currently has a dock, so it's reasonable that normal ocean currents would have allowed ships to dock on that side, thus eliminating the need to build a highway through the swamp. The old sawmill was on the other end of the island near Lot 2.

Plus if you look at where OI is on a map and it is well protected from waves and I'd think strong currents unless there is a storm brewing.. That road up the side of the swamp is a power pole clearing. Not really a road...

The same can be stated concerning whomever one believes created a pit to hide treasure, be it Sinclair, Templars, Freemasons, Capt Kidd, etc.
*NOTE* It has never been established that any treasure was buried or hidden on Oak Island outside of lore, tall tales and hopeful speculation.

That's true, but ya'll don't think any of that actually happened anyway, so no reason to justify it. Yet we know there was a brick factory on the other side of the island.. If you came to the island to build a brick factory for SOME reason knowing you have to boat your finished product everytime you have a load, why dock in Smiths Cove and then build a rock road thru a swamp to your plant, when you could just build a dock ( some say there was a dock over there ) close to your factory and on your own property...

what are the water depths close in on each side?

OMG, they found a copper coin! What a shock that they should find a coin! I found a 1787 British cent at my Grandparents farm in CT, just means that someone lost it no early than 1787 doesn't mean the British occupied their farm near Bradley Field.

Samuel Ball's property there was a cane topper, maybe he was given it or since he had money maybe bought it... but they say maybe a high ranking British Officer visited Oak Island.

I have no idea. Do know from watching them put in the metal coffer dam barrier thing it is not very deep in Sheerdam Cove. Plus when they we diving out in the area it wasn't deep. No way a big boat could get close to shore. Would have to be smaller boat. Now that is currently, no idea what it was like 300-500 years ago. It is an island that is close to shore intermingled with lots of other islands which would lead me to think that the bottom is not going to suddenly just drop off..

Over in what is actually Sheerdam Cove where they have the metal barrier searching for the wood log structures and what they believe are wood causeway structures and most likely where boats came in to dock and drop off supplies/treasure etc you would not need to go thru the swamp to get to the Brick Factory assuming you have permission to just go in a straight line. Going thru the swamp area adds a lot of extra feet of travel and then the work to build a road thru the swamp...
So the only reason I can see for the factory to need to build a road thru the swamp would be because they were docking boats there at the swamp. Same thing can be said about any treasure being off loaded and needing to get to the MP area.. Smith's Cove offers alittle more protection from site then Sheerdam's Cove from passing boats...

All that being said it just leads to more questions really.

It may head towards an area the laginas and others have been digging for many years while asking folks for money to do so but to be clear, there has never been a money pit....all fiction.

This is one of the biggest problems with the Laginas continuation of their misinformation effort. They seek to suggest that everything old found on oak Island is directly related to hiding a treasure there. Even though there is zero evidence that anyone ever hid a treasure there. They do not care how ridiculous and in-plausible their assertions are they continue to make them.

Now that they have proved nothing exists underground in the area of the pit other then the remains left by earlier searchers they are getting even more desperate to find anything that will allow them to spin out their cash cow a bit longer.

They have shown zero desire to even consider plausible reasons to explain historic artifacts.

The old road that has been known about for over half a century at least is their latest example of this.

Ya'll know it is a tv show right? I'd think that everyone on it realizes that not everything they find is treasure related but because they are part of the tv show about searching for treasure they have to do certain things to keep the show interesting for the majority of the people watching. You can bet money that most of the people watching have never been on this forum and never done any of their own research into any of it... You might say they are naïve or stupid or whatever but it keeps the show going, which helps fund the searches. Heck the Lagina crew might not believe there is any treasure at this point but they can't say that on the show till they are ready for it to end... They have to play up any finds or it would be extremely boring to watch.
Think about it. Gary finds a hit. Rick digs it up. Hands it to Gary and he says It's a coin and puts it in his pocket and moves on to next spot. Finds a ox show, or a nail, hinge, etc and just puts it in his pocket never to be seen or talked about again, who wants to watch that... They have to play that up.
and yes they have talked about people living and farming on the island but that isn't something you make a show about...
