SEASON 8

The new “mysterious 90 foot tunnel” is just another hole dug by previous hoaxers and back filled with rubble....

It's possibly made by searchers, but definitely not an open hole that was filled back in; based on coring evidence.

Just another feeble attempt (like the silver in the water) to fool viewers in an attempt to keep the fictional drama show relevant.....

Did someone ever thought about the idea that the money pit was actually a mining shaft and that the stone path and the shipyard were made to bring the silver to a ship.

Tough to have a mining shaft on an island where water is hit just a few feet down.......

How did they build the money pit if there is so much water?

There was never a money pit.....as shown over the years it’s just a fictional story that hoaxers leverage every few years to dupe unknowing investors out of money, the latest hoax of which is the laginas with their fictional tv show.....

Hello Robert...And Welcome To The Show!

How did they build the money pit if there is so much water?

The 18th Century Depositors built the Shaft by using the skill of the Cornish Miners.

These miners were use to the challenges of digging mines close to water.

They had the expertise of how to use "blue clay, charcoal and limestone" to make a water tight cement to stop seepage.

They engineered a "Rag and Chain Water Pump" to drain excessive water from the shaft.

One could say it was harder to flood the Shaft then to dig the Shaft.

It’s been absolutely proven that there were no “depositors” or mysterious money pit on hoax island.

No money pit, flood tunnels, etc. have ever been found despite the entire area dug up to very deep depths.

Fictional stories made up about Cornish miners, templars, etc. do not add any validity to the ongoing hoax....

We’ve asked many times for the proponents of these fairy tales to provide one iota of factual evidence and in every case the response was silence....

Most people do think there was a MP Pit dug. My or may not have ever had treasure in it but there was a hole dug in the ground by searchers. As to why they started digging there is up for debate. Robots post is correct in how some holes way back when were dug. There has always been blue clay found on the island and charcoal as well... Plus if your the first people to dig on the island you stand a much better chance of not hitting water then after 100's of people have dug holes and tunnels all over the place... Plus keep in mind the island is not floating...

Twisting the actual facts to fit a narrative.......”Yes there was a money pit! But.....it wasn’t a hole holding vast riches, it was just a hole dug by previous hoaxers....”

Might be true. We don't know for sure.

Might be true. We don't know for sure.

It’s an absolute fact that the fictional tale of a “money pit” has been used by hoaxers for over 200 years...

Maybe the hoax is a hoax itself.

What better way to keep something hid well than to hoax the hoaxers themselves.

...

My head hurts now...hoax inception is a real disease. 8-)

LOL....More utter nonsense....

Most people do think there was a MP Pit dug. My or may not have ever had treasure in it but there was a hole dug in the ground by searchers. ...

If MONEY was not originally deposited in a PIT, then it is NOT a "money pit". It may be a PIT than many have spent money on digging, but unless it has tangible, actual money or treasure at the bottom of it, it is just a "pit".

Your are correct. It was named the Money Pit years later I'd imagine... the main thing is it was there. Some think it was never dug till searchers dug it, which might be true we'll never know... That does not mean there wasn't a MP... as some keep saying... only that it is a searcher pit that was later named The Money Pit... that some family decedents claim their family member did find some treasure in it...

It should likely be more aptly described as "The Valueless Sinkhole".

But what fun would that be?

The bottom line is that there is an exponential amount of hyperbole being tossed around about everything but the fact that not one iota of factual evidence has ever been produced to support any of the fictional fairy tales surrounding hoax island....
