Went for an early morning swing in a day when we ended up getting 7" of snow. Got in a couple hours before I had to stop. These were found at a sight I have been working for a little while. I have found numerous colonial gilted buttons as well as pewter.
Also found a King George 2 large cent, musketball drops and splats and some Victorian items. After my last trip there? I thought I was close to having tapped the place out. Thought I would give it another shot. Glad I did.

Very nice finds congrats on the silver and buckle

Very nice on the Seated & Buckle.

Hello fernald1. Two very nice finds you have there. You gotta want it to 'tect in those conditions.

We don't see buckles like that here in FL and that dime is in fantastic condition.

Congratulations. C9

Great hunt and great pictures too!

That buckle is beautiful and the seated dime too!

Awesome stuff. The coin is awesome. I always had luck in winter hunts. Last winter was pretty much impossible though. I had a good day today as well. I was hoping for a buckle today but no luck .Im going to post the coins up later today! [emoji106]

Very nice seated dime and buckle find! :occasion14:

Thanks guys! My finds were at the tail end of my hunt. I was feeling pretty discouraged that I may have cleaned the place out. Great thing about swinging with a little snow on the ground? Better swing coverage, because you can clearly see the areas you have already been and spots u may have missed

Actually the coin was a complete fluke find. I had to detour around some downed trees. It sent me up a steep slippery hillside that I cursed as I climbed and slipped my way around. I was just kind of holding my detector loosely to the side while I navigated over some pesky downed branches when I caught a clear , strong , hi pitched signal. It was deep and I thought it was big, like a soda can because of the strength of signal at that depth (6-7") but I dug it anyway. Glad I took that detour up that 45degree ***** of a hill

SWEET finds, what a great day you had, cheers. The buckle is awesome

couldn't ask for better condition for either one,Very nice!

Nice buckle and one beauty of a seated!

You got my respect for hunting in those conditions

It was worth it though

I would go back to the hillside I bet long ago someone or multiple people slid down that hill dropped coins /Great job

Boy, you combine those finds and that scenery, and you've got a day that makes it all worth it. Nice!

Shoe buckle & a Liberty Seated dime in a snow storm? What kind of days do you have in good weather? Nice digs.
