It been a while since my last hunt, but I got out today for a few hours. Hunting a mid 1800 farm in Stillwater ny. It's not far from the Saratoga battle field so I had my fingers crossed. First hit in the yard an 81 and 1 inch. 1875s seated dime- she is worn but still happy. Next hit is an Ihp. Keep hunting same area and I get a 61 at 4inch, I dig the plug and sitting in the bottom of it is an eagle button. The eagle is riding a cannon so my guess is a war of 1812 artillery button. Pick up some other things and a lot of junk. IMG_0102.webpIMG_0103.webpIMG_0106.webpIMG_0107.webp

pretty darn good start back!

Thanks for making it look so easy. I have still yet to find anything Seated. I did find a 1875 Counterfeit Seated Dime from the 1800's does that count? Lol Congratulations my friend.

Nice hunt, lots of goodies

Looks like an Albert's AY 51B. Any Artillery button from this era is a great find. Very nice digs!

Great stuff there Tony! Shows that that site has some real potential. Love that button.

Love old seated silver but, the old Artillery Button is Headlining this Show! Very nice button. Love the history of that one. Great relics and a cool Hotwheels belt buckle to boot. Nice going.:headbang:

Those Seated coins are really a pretty coins.

Well I looked it up and found that it's the top to tin canning jars. It's made of lead so it wasn't a good idea. Found it on a site call jerrys jars.
