Went for a long walk yesterday around the perimeter of the Meadows as I got closer to the eagles nest I could see the first chick was still in the field, about a 100 feet away I saw another body.

I could see the male perched above the nest and the female was in the nest..

I am absolutely sure those birds were grieving, the female I believe was crying by the sounds she was making.

As I watched another adult male swooped down and the male in the tree took flight after it,I was so amazed I didn't get any pics when it all started but I did get some of the high chase..

Several hours later I left and the female was atop the power pole, she looks a bit disturbed if you ask me..

wonder what is killing them

I have herd of the bigger chick will push a weaker one out of the nest, survival of the fittest. Do you know how many are left ?

The female dropped them several hundred feet from the nest tree, just have to wait and see if they go back to feed one.

That's sad. That didn't happen last season did it?

Man that stinks. You don't suppose that other male has been coming and killing the chicks?

They had no marks whatsoever..I looked them over. I believe the female dropped them out there.
