Hello everyone, I was going through some of the stuff I dug last year before I moved to Colorado from Virginia so I could put together some silver to sell and discovered I had a semi key date barber dime (1896-O). I found this coin on an old homesite off Pope's Head Road in Fairfax, Virginia. I just plum didn't notice the mint mark when I originally dug it then hastily packed it for the move (one of last weekends I was there) so what I thought was originally a really common coin is actually around a $75 dollar semi key date. Although I did not find this today, I just discovered the value so thought it qualifies for 'todays finds'. Check those coins for MM's! Take care all.

Congrats on your Barber! You should also post it on the palm reading forum, further down.
Thank you it was a nice surprise! So, lol, I reviewed my pictures and holy moly I do use a lot of hand shots, kind of lazy on my end will try to use a better avenue of display going forward (making a little velvet board).

Cool refind
I would say a Barber in hand is worth 2 in the dirt.

I 'dig' your philosophy...man I'm a cheese but seriously it is fun to realize you got something way better than you originally thought, glad I didn't sell it for the silver value (don't generally do that with 19th c coins anyway just the modern stuff you can only appreciate rosies for so long before I see gas money..lol) take care pepper.
