Setting Disc vs Tone

I recently got done reading Andys book for the 2nd. I have a few questions. I like to hunt by tone and being able to set tones and break points is n awesome feature of the Deus. I know high Disc effects depth but does running it wide open and setting the tones effect depth?*

Tones should have no effect on depth.

Try full tones! I drove myself mad trying new tones and break points... Forced myself to use" full tones" for a few hunts and it just makes sense now.
Using full tones option just keeps things simple. Simple works for me.
Full tones assigns different tone for every TID number so I get more information feedback from audio.
