Seven days in Hells Canyon

Went on a bear hunting trip to Hells Canyon. Lived in Oregon all my life, but had never been there. Figured out real quick that I am getting too old to hike in that kind of country. But it is some awsome country to see. We saw big horn sheep, deer, elk, antelope, couger,bobcat, turkeys, grouse, quail, and wild horses. I don't take great pictures like alot of you on here, but thought I would share anyway.

Fishenfool: Thanks for posting those photos. I've never been down in the canyon, but have peeked over the side into it near Joseph. How'd you do on bear? I'd like to get down in there and fish for channel cats with a fly rod ... but I'm on the cusp of being a bit too old for it myself.

I camped in hells canyon for 2 days back in 1978, camped on the snake river beautiful place but wild. When the sun goes below the rim of the canyon It is dark thirty real quick
