sharing my adventure

I've had one heck of a time securing a vacation destination...so I decided to scrap it all and start fresh!

I'm heading out on March 11th, loadin' down the vehicle with supplies, gear...whatever I feel I'll need (still working on my packing list). All I know at this time is that I'm heading south to Nashville to get below the freeze line. I'll hang there a day or 2 then head west with no real destination in mind...wherever the open road and treasure takes me. I might even dig for diamonds, who knows...or I could end up heading east as I'll be at Ma Nature's mercy. I'll gladly follow and obey good weather.

I've decided to share this adventure, from start to finish, on Facebook: treasure travels with tori.

My next big project, outside of research, is to build my own sifter Code name: Sifter Sister!

I wish you the best of luck Tori. I am trying to figure out where I want to g on my vacation lso tis year. I am getting a new water detector this spring when taxes comes back. So I been tinking of heading to the east coast and work my way down some then back up to Ohio maybe thru TN, KY and IN. I was thing sometime in May or June. With all the rain we've had, I would definately hit the diamond mine in Arkansas. We spent two days there ..didn't find any diamonds..but had a good time.

This morning I posted a partial list of gear I'll be hauling.

Now in research mode for the sifter design

I made my sifter out of 5 gal plastic buckets. Cut the buckets in into abot half way take the screen you want that a torcha dnheat up the bucket where youcut it off of. when it is melting press it to the screen and cut off your excess screen and you have a sifter. Plus now you also have a bucket to help carry your supplies......Matt

I'm not doing the Brookhaven trip, that was scrapped...and this idea was born out of frustration of having all my plans fall thru.

Still trying to come up with a method that would allow everyone to tell people apart on Facebook by their T-Net screen names...

Wishing u luck Tori on your adventure. Did you get your swifter mde yet. I not here is another idea for one. Cut out some boards 1 X 1 1/2 inches. cut a 1/2 groove down the middle of all of them. Then nail 3 of them together so you have a u shape. cut your screen so it will slide down the grooves and you still have a bout a 1/2 sticking out on the side you went in from. Then put your last side on and nail shut. This will give you a box shifter. I hope this helps some.....Matt
