Hope your holidays went well!
I recently moved to nj, and I heard about about shark river and big brook in Monmouth county nj. So I decided to check it out. This was my First trip to big brook NJ. It was awesome! Lots of teeth...still trying to identify them, which is tough. Any suggestions on a good resource to help me identify them would be greatly appreciated. Also, I found this chunk of rock(last pic). No idea what it is. It's blue. Any suggestions?

There are lot's of resources out there. This internet thing is really cool.

My wife makes jewelry out of them.

I have Been using all the internet resources, especially those associated with big brook and shark river....however, I have many many items I still cannot ID. I prefer books over internet ...but the internet will have to find me the books I need. I am also looking at micro fossils, which is pretty cool.

In the first image, the broad-bladed teeth appear to be Squalicorax sp. I recommend The Collector's Guide to Fossil Sharks and Rays From the Cretaceous of Texas, Welton and Farish. This was done by professionals, and may be the best ID guide ever.
