Hi guys, i am posting this up for a friend.
This last month she found these two teeth, and it is very exciting for her. They were found in Otero County, New Mexico, at the base of the Sacramento Mountains in the foot hills. She has hunted fossils her whole life in this area and has never come across these before. We asked around locally and no one can recall ever finding sharks teeth from the area. In the matrix there are a few crinoids and the site where she found the teeth there are corals and crinoids. She believes the area of the site to be Mississipian- Pensylvanian. Also, she is thinking the teeth are possibly from a Petalodant or Petalodus shark. Any information will be greatly appreciated, if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask so we can get this resolved.
These are the best pictures i could come up with.
