Shaun7 you didn't miss much...

I only had 2 Hammered, but 1 was on my second run (your run) :tongue3:

I did 7.5 hours & Dad did 6 hours, the first photo shows how much Lead we had. Lead is my favourite by-product

9 Roman Coins
Tudor Book Clasp
Tudor 'Cherub' Clothes Fastener
Medieval Belt Mounts
Lead flask lid for dry powder
Georgian sword fittment
Medieval Coin Weight
Nice Medieval Knife Terminal (shape of a hammered) - not had this type :)
Part of a Roman Brooch
Strange thing that looks like Celtic Ring Money :dontknow:
Buckles
Few buttons
Lead Tokens
Nice 17th Century Tokens
2 Hammered - Lizy I Halfgroat & Penny.

I think we did OK 8)

Nice finds, Cru! A bit better than OK, I think. I must be a bit daft, but the things I really like seeing are those buckles.

Gotta ask: have you ever hunted the creeks and stream beds near you? It seems to me that after 1000 years of habitation, most of the really old stuff should have worked its way into waterways by now.

My favorite in many of your posts tends to be the trade tokens. Probably because I like getting home and having something to open the book for. Checking the variety on hammered silver wouldn't be a bad thing either!
