Anyone ever heard the stories about old timers stretching sheets across streams to catch fine gold dust? I have read it on several sites but now cant find any of them. Reason Im asking....just got off the phone with a guy that did something similar and caught just over an ounce of gold in 2 weeks. The guy then told me that his contact with USGS informed him that every 24 hours, $16,000 in suspended flour gold flows past the town that we live in. That price was in the 60's when gold was $30 an ounce. Allow me to adjust for current gold prices... Ready?...$541,560 EVERY 24 HOURS!! Now you see why I'm interested lol

Everyone is SO fixated on big gold. Nuggets etc. Seeing as how MOST of earths remaining gold is "micron" , I will study and experiment, until I get it right lol

Instead of trying to convince everyone that this doesn't work why don't you do us a favor and see if you can figure out how to get this gold? You can stockpile a whole lot of your own real quick!

Maybe run some thru your sluice? Let us know how it works out!

I never said it didn't work... I am saying it's pointless. You guys can have all the fun experiments on all the in visable gold you want...

And yes most of the gold being recovered is very small...and the industry relies on proven recovery due to the small margin of economic feasibility. ....so basically they would run from rags coated in fish oil. ...the notion that some dude on the internet came up with a new method and grandpa is gonna turn us all on our ear is
Great entertainment!

Again....hilarious, but keep in mind that I have a decent paying job. Sorry that this thread got your hopes up. Simply looking for A WAY TO RECOVER MICRON GOLD...NOT GET RICH

Nope hopes r definitely sinking.....duldroms....laying in the breeze far from up!!!!

Its fine. You can rely on todays gold recovery standards. I am MORE THAN WILLING to revert to "capture methods" used in the 1800's when gold was at likely -$5 ounce

Actually it would be about 20.46 an ounce..you can revert to what ever you want... you started a thread by asking a question. It is up to you to sort it. I promise I will only post usable facts.

As usual retention and recovery is up to the miner good luck!

But the old timers HAD to make it work. Back then, the family depended on it. Nowadays, most of us are sissies and whine when we run out of coffee filters...which reminds me... Micron gold in a coffee filter...just kidding

I'm beginning to think about trying this at the ocean beach where the black sands and -150 gold is concentrated. A sheet or length of burlap soaked in veg. oil, staked down well, and let the incoming tide do the work for me. Yeah, I know my gold cube works but why not let nature do the work for me.
Sounds like a good experiment during a winter storm to me. I'm serious.

I believe you and serious why not on the cube too with the right material. ....or a revolving belt like in some of the patents.....I get it...... BUT!

Lol I just got my gold cube in the mail, and ran it last night...phenominal!!!!! BUT.....Im already, planning to coat it with vaseline for the microns. Damn....I just dont want to have to burn my cube to recover the fines lol BUT....I know they are in there. Way more than the visible stuff!

I can use google too. i want to see pictures of your GRANDFATHER pond and rig. I sincerly appriciate the descriptions but without pictures of actual use, i cant follow. Also, in other threads we have seen some of the gold casting that chlsbrns has done. im absolutely not calling BS, but i have seen gold "buttons" as posted previously in this thread. the proof is in the pudding... or pictures...

Since you are so good at using google, I would think that you would cross reference her pic. Basically you are calling her a liar. (Upload the pic and google will search the www for matches)

74 microns is 200 mesh= to prtland cement and at the low end of placer recovery. 53 microns "remove visable particle from liquids" silt is 44 microns....
When u ou hit 25 microns you go in visable to the naked eye ...550 mesh....there is no "mesh" available below 400...same size as plant pollen.

I dare say you can buy smaller mesh sizes, (numerically higher mesh number). Care to place a wager?

Secondly, half of you, WHEN this thing works, I will be LESS than reluctant to share methods with, since, after all its such a joke
