She's No Lady... But I will Take Her Any Day Of The Week!
This goes to show-Never trash any of your finds till you give them a super good once over.
Hitting some old ground with a few other mates and low n behold, a funky shaped piece of lead??
Well no idea at the time but into the finds pile it went. A few days later sorting out things on my workbench, did I realize just what I had...
My first Seated Q!!!! (and an 1854) Well to be specific-My first flattened Seated Q.
Man I have no idea how she got this way. Pretty amazing if you ask me!
Guess some rich kids in the 1800's decided to play with some quarters.
Thanks for looking!!

Great that you spotted it and it's a minor miracle that you can actually still see the date. This is a real conversation piece and better than most other seated quarters I've seen. My first and only has been a fairly slick 1876. Display this one proudly
good till I nervously and carefully did a light electro clean on it. (super weak voltage)
crazy!!
