Ohh! She's so puffed up! Hope she makes it through.

She needs a bird House.

i had a random guinea hen that started livin above our coop she made it two years before the cold finally got her we built her a house but she would not let us catch her to put her in a coop that wasnt in use lol

I sure hope she makes it , this winter has been so tuff on the wild life!

what kind of bird is it?
looks like a game bird, quail or hen pheasant
looking at the tail feathers

thought so
been awhile since ive seen one

MMMMMM!!!
fattener up,:laughing7:

Hey D, how cool is that to have a pheasant hanging out with your girls. I agree, a tough winter for the wildlife. It will be interesting to see what she does come spring.

We lost one of our chickens to a Cooper's Hawk this winter. Not sure if she might have been ill, since she probably outweighed the hawk. :dontknow:

Thanks for posting!

for second there I thought you were talkin bout my wife :censored:

This bird seems to have made a home here, been hanging out since last summer.

She's welcome, and for being tame I give her credit for her skills, evading the predators from above and below...:coffee2:

Can't you put a large box up where she sits?
Or cover the area..bet she would like that!

Hopefully your feeding her..:)

Yes she's well fed lol. She has a lean-to behind the coop and is very wary of predators, but comes running for feed.

That's great..very nice of you to help her..:)

Very cool! We seen 3 hen pheasants cross the road on the way to church this morning. Was happy to see them. Hardly ever see males anymore, but hens are a rare sight.
