Finally had the opportunity to go for a hunt a bit this evening. Lucky for me the section of park that I've been hunting lately because it seems to be overlooked by other detectorist was free of kids practicing baseball or soccer! I started abouts where I left off the last time and started digging up everything that gave me a steady signal hoping for some gold. I didn't strike gold but I did hit some beautiful silver, before kids started coming for a ball game and I was getting hungry for dinner.
First the trash: Lots of sharp things you wouldn't want your kids/dog stepping or falling on

My first pocket knife, has a nice wooden handle. Any tips for cleaning this up without damaging the wood portion more then it already is?

A Modern Button (Brass I think)

A silver bracelet that's missing the clasp but is marked 925 Made In Italy

The most beautiful coin ever minted, A Walking Liberty Silver Half Dollar!

And of course the usual clad including some very toasted zinc pennies.
