My Garrett Ace 250 metal detector keeper finds from July 4th to August 7th. No gold this month but I did find a couple of pieces of silver - a 1940 Mercury dime and a sterling chain marked "Italy 925". I found over $10 in modern coins, including one more Sacagawea dollar coin which is the...

These are my Garrett Ace 250 keeper finds from May 1st to June 5th. Not shown are the pounds of metal trash that I had to dig in the process of getting them. ha. I estimate that I dig between 15-20 pull tabs, trash, and recyclable brass or copper item for every keeper that I find. Near...
I just put my 96th hour of my 100-hour goal on my Garrett Ace 250 metal detector, hunting in my own front yard for an hour this evening. I found 1 dime, 3 memorial pennies, and 1 old wheat penny which was 8" deep. I'm soaking some of the dirt off of the wheat cent so that I can read the...
I posted this on my Facebook page last night after this exciting hunt. I have now logged 86 or the 100 hours that the late Charles Garrett recommended on my Garrett Ace 250.
I had to drive some distance to get to my detecting site this evening but it was worth the time and effort. Since my...
My metal detecting finds from April 6th to May 1st. At the top is a chrome part from an old Chevrolet (Chevrolet emblem on the top), a circular radiator emblem from an old Dodge Brothers car (1914-1928 model), and a few old bullet shells and a shotgun hull. I only found two pieces of...

I found this brass item in a very old yard where I've found coins dating back as far as 1901. It's marked "Ford" in script near the bottom, like the old Ford tools are marked. It's 2 and 3/16" inches high and 1.5" across at the bottom. I was going to put it in my scrap bin because I didn't...
Hot day yesterday, so this is kinda weird
I was out detecting at a local park, I was pulling out targets left and right (mostly trash) (I had discriminated out Iron, foil, and nickel on Jewelry setting). After about an hour the machine goes berserk, jumping all over the place, beeping like...
I'm going to buy an Garett AT Pro soon, so when I'm gonna buy it, I will probably buy it with a larger coil. But if you want to have a smaller coil on it sometime when your out metal detecting can you put on an smaller coil from my Garett Ace 250 on the AT Pro?
Thank you
Hello I recently bought the Ace 250 and am still learning it. I was wondering what is your experience with the Ace 250 and what are some cool finds you have found with it. I have been detecting at a 1920's home at up near the house where it is less trashy I can get targets really deep I found a...
Hello all, I cant really decide which one to buy as my first detector. Initially I was about to get the Ace 250 but then I found out about Fisher F2. I read many good things about it, such as it has better coil, better "software" and better sound system. Everything seems better with F2 except...
Detecting in Utah, you don't expect to find many older coins. The pioneers who founded the state only came in around 1847, so settlements are typically much newer than that. That is why this find was so exciting!
I wasn't really feeling like knocking on doors today, so I decided to try to find...
Just got back from taking my new wireless audio mod for a test drive, and it worked perfectly!
I used a Bluetooth transmitter, Mono 1/4 to 1/8 cable, and a BT headset.
Transmitter:

Hi everybody. Rick here from South Texas by the Mexican Border. It had been a long time since I wanted to get me a metal detector and I just did on ebay, got me two actually, an Ace 250 and a Fisher F5. Don't know where to start so I figured treasurenet was the place to begin at. Anyway, just...
Local park's field keeps on giving, silver pocket spill and an Indian head.
Only was able to hunt for around a hour before people came to use the fields for soccer practice and I decided to just keep out of the way but I did find some goodies.
This makes my first ever Merc's I found and...
Finally had the opportunity to go for a hunt a bit this evening. Lucky for me the section of park that I've been hunting lately because it seems to be overlooked by other detectorist was free of kids practicing baseball or soccer! I started abouts where I left off the last time and started...
Couldn't sleep, so when the sun came out, I hit the local elementary school.
Ended up with ring number 3 for me! Possibly silver(Non magnetic, rung up where a silver dime would on the Ace 250) Tho no markings.
Update: I tested it with a drop of bleach and it tarnished, so I'm going to say...
Not the biggest find ever, but it's my biggest find so far. 29.1 grams of 925 silver!
Hallmarks are 925 Italy and QGI. (My camera can't get a good enough picture of the hallmarks to share) Found with my Ace 250.
I have heard several comment suggesting that an ACE 250 with a second coil is preferable to the Standard ACE 350.
My question is: Does the difference in frequencies give the 350 any advantage over the 250 for relic hunting?
Both of these options fall into my price range.
Thanks,
-Mark-
I've been using my new 250 coin shooting and have set up the custom mode to discriminate nickels. It's seems like it is always trash when the nickel indicator is hitting. Any tips or advice on this issue would be awesome. Another side not is that I have only found pennies and dimes , maybe there...
Found 26 pennies all memorials 9 clad Roosevelt's a odd tin or pewter ring and a earring. Second time hitting this park and only covered a 50'x50' area. Four time out with my ace 250 and it picks up some deep stuff. Most coins were 2in but hit some at 6in.
:hello: Hello...... I'm just wondering if anyone from Northern Indiana wants a detecting partner, I have an ACE 250 with a DD & Sniper coil...not the best at ALL but its better than all my Bounty Hunters...lol I am willing to drive a few miles , but I need to make a day of it, since gas prices...
I found this today while metal detecting with my new Ace 250 on an 1800's farm. I found it near an old stone house near the main farmhouse. It was only about 2 inches below the surface but the area floods each spring. Not sure what it is. It has "55" stamped on the various parts.
Thanks
I hit Alki beach again as part of my continued learning. I dug about 30 holes and only came up with a few interesting things - lots of junk. But it is good to get the junk off the beach.
All this was dug around the volleyball courts and down to the water line.
I am using an ACE 250 and I...
Greetings!
I am new to metal detecting and I am looking to learn.
I bought a Garret Ace 250 for starters and I am seeking experienced hunters to help me learn how and where to search. Please message me if you'd like to help a newbie get started. I live in the Maple Valley area and work in...
I started late in 2011 and here are my proudest finds.

Silver ring found in front of stands at high school baseball field
Silver heart pendant (1g) in front of old high school in Baltimore in same hole as "Erma & Bill" hearts.
Apollo coin found in...
The button in my profile picture is the one I am talking about. Cant seem to pinpoint the era it is from. Any info appreciated. About the size of a quarter. Found with Ace 250.
My First Gold Find (That Almost Wasn't)!!
About two weeks ago I found my first gold after 2.5 years of off and on MDing. I didn't realize it was gold because it broke several times while I was trying to get it out of the hole and I assumed it was just some cheap jewelry. Well, yesterday I...
