Wandering around the edges again today. Surprising sometimes to find things where you least expect them. Found the hoe out away from everything. Not a surprise really but the piece of pottery and the washer in the same hole was.

Was the site bulldozed at one time?
I find the same type items together in my small timber and it is the site of bulldozed house and sheds.

Don’t believe this site was. Part of the structure with the end where the chimney stood was there in 2000 which was the first time I saw it. Had no interest in detecting at that time but wish I had taken a picture. Loggers and time probably did most of the damage. We call the site the peninsula because it is on a high narrow piece of land with terraces all the way around.
