All Treasure Hunting
It been raining a lot recently so I keep an eye on the forecast & decided to do an early morning hunt & stay until heavy rain hit. Don't mind normal rain.

I was planning on my first 100 coin day in the park with hopefully something silver but when I arrived at 08:00 am the park was flooded under 6 inches of water with geese swimming around.(worse flood in years) I evaluated the situation & noticed some high ground on the far side which was waterlogged but above the water line. I could just get there as the path was the only thing showing.

However I quickly realised why the ground was higher. It was a river defence made up of gravel & rubbish (tons of it). Even with the discrimination at max which I have never tried before, the detector was constantly beeping.

I spent 2 hours on a small patch that was somewhat clear of rubbish.

36 pence ($0.72) spendable
2 fishing weights which at least I can use
1925 Farthing

This post is in line with my post everthing policy so as not to hide the bad days. :P

Still better than I managed this weekend.... The rain has lashed down here in the Midlands, the only decent day was Saturday, and I got called out to work!

Still... there's next weekend. ;D

"bad days" there are no steeenking bad days. You did ok, at least you got out, you found something.....can't expect Roman coins every day now, can we? ;D

Not a bad hunt! I had no time for such luxuries this weekend. HH, Mike

Beats not getting out at all! Congrats on the finds! Nicely done!

Should of took your rod :D :D

Still, anything spendable is. . . well, spendable.

The weights might have served a useful purpose if you became bored. . . which I doubt ;)

Family I guess.

If I didn't have my luxuries at least every weekend then some people at work might get a ear bashing ;D

You typically find alot of clad on a "bad" day, hope it dries out soon. I usually consider my clad to pay my gas to go metal detecting. It's about $2.90 a gallon here, what does it cost there? We complain about the price but I know it's nothing compared to Europe. We have been spoiled!
