Went to one of my dump banks this morning to dump about $545 of dimes & quarters. I knew exactly how much in dimes that there should have been, but the machine counted 85 dimes AS cents, therefore I was shorted $7.65 on approx $545 face value. Told the head cashier that the DIME calibration slot on the machine needs adjustment, she'll check into it. However, on the bright side of this story, when I took my coin slip to a teller to deposit $ into my account, I asked her if she had any odd coins (never mention silver coins), as foreign/large Ike's/halves. She opens her drawer and pulls out 3-halves; I'll take them all, only being polite. From a distance across the counter I can see a VERY white rim coin out of the 3. Turns out I got a dirty '68, and like new '69(thought it was a silver proof it was so white & clean). Getting 2 out of 3 teller tray halves kinda eased the pain of the $7.65 dime shortage.
