Should i buy the 17in coil for ctx3030 or stay with stock coil?

i have a ctx3030 live in port saint lucie florida seach treasure wreck sites and also look for modern jewelry at the beaches been using stock coil for sometime and want to know if its worth the 400 dollars for the 17inch coil? and how much deeper is it and also will it affect small finds?

I don't know how much extra depth you will get with the CTX but I have a couple friends that used the larger coil on their E-Trac and they claimed to be finding 69 cal. Civil War minie balls at 15 inch depths. They said that at 18 inches the minie balls would not show on the VDI monitor but would sound off in the pinpoint mode.
