Should I go

The field that i want to go to was recently treated with lime, however, we had heavy rain yesterday which should have washed it into the soil. Should I still go monday?

Lye? Lie? or Lime?
What does lie do to the soil? I guess I'll google it.

I don't think lime will hurt anything. I think it just makes the soil less acidic.

lime is used to adjust the ph balance of the soil...been using it for years ...I wouldn't let that stop me...but that's just me...be safe...good luck, and happy hunting

You've got gloves, I assume. If you end up with burn-holes in the knees of your pants, you should stop.

I'd do it.


Now if they've just sprayed the field with some of that liquid shyt--then STAY AWAY.

(trust me on that one.)

I went, it was fine.....got nothing except a neat fossil, so far

Lime is no prob.

It's a common soil amendment.

At most it would dry your hands out a bit.

Wash off well when you're done and perhaps a little bit of hand lotion.
