I remember that story. Not a huge Josh Gates fan tho. He never finds anything, solves anything or even furthers a story for that matter.
From what I remember about that Gulag escape, Russian Gov caught up to them and wasted them all. I think the only thing he ever "found" was a case of hiptoplasmosis for him and his crew going into a cave in South America🤣 It was hillarious he was frollicking around in infected polluted water and stuff. Pretty funny. Seems like a decent guy, a moronic show tho.
