🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Sickle bar mower rock guard? How old?

A few years ago I found this object in a field that has been used as farmland since the early 1800s and still is to this day. I believe it’s a sickle bar mower rock guard, but I’m trying to figure how old it possibly is. I’ve ran it through multiple AI models and they haven’t been able to give a consistent answer. I tried to clean up as much rust as possible, but haven’t been able to find any identifying marks for a brand or anything.

Take it to a large implement store or call one about IDing it ! Or just walk in and show them . A lot of these older guys know their stuff when it comes to IDing parts! ! Most of these old timers had to work on so much of it they would know if it is a common part used on many different brands!

We had a very old wheel driven sickle mower at home, I don't know what brand it was, could have been 100 years old. Probably used the same parts as a modern pto driven model.

I’d guess 1940s, but may be earlier.
