Same ol' sidewalk construction I've been hitting for the last two weeks now, it's almost like a second home. The local's root me on every day it seems lol. Finally all those "good luck"s panned out.

Ended up pulling >15 or so wheaties again but I've been so spoiled here I get mad when I dig those up. I've got at least 75 wheaties from this spot just soaking, no idea wtf im going to end up doing with them, i need to get some coin binder or something, it's getting a little ridiculous.

Anyway, check out the spoils -

Dat Detail...

Last pic are local transit tokens, I really like the Syracuse one, I'm sure people find these all the time but they're still cool!

Nice job, you are finding some great stuff. I too like the strip between the sidewalk and curb, have found quite a few silvers and other good coins there.

Yeah man loving it right now, although i wish i had a better detector since i know some of this stuff could have been had if i could get more then 4-5 inches down. Must be the new york soil, the F2 just doesnt go deep here(or anywhere)

Edit: im hunting craigslist every day looking for a deal on a solid detector, its bad enough my 8'' coil is defective so im stuck with the sniper on all hunts

You gotta be living High on the Hog when you say "I only got a 1945 Washington quarter " Silver quarters have become a real
prize to me . When I was hunting actively (3 to 5 days a week ) I was lucky to pull 3 in a year !

Come move to NY! That is if you can stand high property tax, school tax and the breathing tax!

Great finds. Those old sidewalk tear-outs are always good

Same here. After I started detecting I gradually bought all new folders just for detecting finds. And unlike normal albums where'd I'd put the best condition coins in, with these I put the wackiest-looking coins in. I have pennies that look like oranges, nickels that look like they were gold-plated, dimes that look like they're made out of wood. I've even appreciated zincolns a bit because some have gorgeous toning if they spent time under a particular tree; or others are alien because their surface has literally bubbled.

It also introduces inexplicable gaps. I still have never dug a 2009 (plain) penny. Nor a 1971 dime. And dozens of other gaps, mostly nickels. Part of my fun after a detecting outing and getting home is to search through even relatively boring/ugly/damaged modern coins to see if I can fill such gaps in my album. Last week I found three state quarters that I hadn't found before, and was excited to punch them in. That was a great detecting day!

ETA: I was trying to quote Loco-Digger to reply to him but messed up. And it goes without saying Loomis that you are kicking butt on that site. That Barber quarter looks mint-state! Dat detail is awesome.
