The Pennsylvania forum has been quiet for a couple of days.
I hope y'all had good MD'ing luck!


I'm still waiting on my Minelab X-Terra. I sent my money order out las Tuesday.

PA to Florida? They probably got it by Saturday.
Maybe I'll get it by Friday or Saturday?

Yep they should Be shipping Today or Tomorrow
Depending on which one and time of day.

Been out everyday since it hit Upper 80's
Low 90's here.
Kind of a Body Shock
going from Winter & 40's to Mid Summer overnight
no Spring. Makes the hunts Shorter but can't complain

mid 60's Thursday, I'll Freeze my Butt off

I Moaned ever since the Winter got here Early & Refused to leave

Gosh - I dunno.....

I'm going to experience YouTube overload this week watching X-Terra Instructional Videos to get me ready.

I have a basic test garden set up (a buffalo, a merc, wheats, clad, pulltabs, my wedding band, etc...) well, I wear the band and plant it just or the test <wink!>

I want to get an hour or two of testing, listening, listening, testing, and listening in before I go out.

Luckily I have this Friday off. I might have a GREAT weekend!

I was dodging raindrops and trying to get in detecting, learning my new Vision. Procrastinating doing chores actually.

Got sucked into a nasty, dirty job Saturday and by the time I got home I was beat. Sunday I had to catch up on house chores. I think I need a woman....I hate dusting, mowing grass, car washing....

But I'm off all week...paid vacation courtesy of Pa UC....just a week tho...but I'll take it. Actually making more money being laid off.

But today....tossed my detector in the car and headed for a noll on a hill I've been eyeballing all winter. Looked like a good spot for early indian, colonial activity along the river. I see it everyday from work.

Well...to make this short.....thank god I left my detector in the car when I started hiking. Whew!!!

It got hot fast and this old achy body isn't in the best of shape anymore. Spent over 2 1/2 hours scouring this hill for signs of anything...very steep walk to get to the ridge.

Logging has stripped anything that may have been markers, old dirt trails zig-zagging everywhere. Took a ton of pics...nice vista from way up there.

Found puddles of water with oil floating on them...native oil...not some leaky machine....oil bearing coal which had been strip mined and found what may have been an old caved in mine entrance.

Now I'm home waiting for my new pinpointer to show up...3 days shipping from Kellyco...

My feet are on fire, I got a charlie horse in my leg, and what's left of my lungs are screaming at me as I breathe. Guess I'll try a different part of the hill tomorrow....hit or miss rain.

Yea...I'm a glutton for punishment.

For now...gonna download my pics to the main puter and see how well they came out.

Did you order the X 70? You will have to give us a Field Report on how it does for you.

Yeah - I got the X-Terra 705 which is the new model replacement to the X-70.

And I'm not really all that qualified to give a review because I have ZERO experience and no 'other model' knowledge to compare it to.

The spot I hunted gave me plenty of solid tones....But I just couldn't get at them! Until I can do that and verify that what the MD says agrees with what I dig up.....I cannot draft a first-impressions review.
