that company is still around today, they got into the chicken business late 19th cen.

Absolutely clean up the buckle some. I think the way it is made it's a sash buckle form the mid Victorian period, mid 19th century. A very nice find indeed.

A pants adjustment buckle was my first thought as well, but it's almost too wide.
I don't think it's a sash buckle either, the teeth are almost too sharp for that. :icon_scratch:
