I finally got the nerve to knock and got permission to hunt a spot I have been eyeing up for a long time. It once had a funeral home owners house on it that was from the 1840's but burnt down in the early 1980's. His funeral home itself still stands next door and that was built in the 1870's. I believe he ran the funerals in his house before that was built. I did a quick random hunt to check the spot out and first hit was a 1876 Canada large cent. Not too long after got my first 50 cent piece (1944) near the old well. In the end I got two more old coins (1861 Nova Scotia large one cent & 1913 Canada large cent). It's a huge spot so I can't wait to get a long good hunt in and take my time. I'm sure there are many more finds there. Thanks for looking! :) image-2374880675.jpg image-2003779529.jpg image-2023543739.jpg image-3335323690.jpg image-3678885906.jpg image-3580945650.jpg image-2814361067.jpg image-465415399.jpg
Anyone know what these are?

Good little hunt. Keep us updated on this site!
I will. There was lots of hits I skipped over due to time but it seems a good variety of coin dates there and never been hunted by anyone before. Should have been lots of activity there in the past. I wonder if anyone ever payed for a funeral with a gold coin or two back then??? Haha

looks like a very interesting place!Don't worry to much about the asking nerve, all they can really do is say no unless they are crazy at worst. But It is awkward asking sometimes.nice finds.

Went back and did a different corner of the field. Got two large cents 1902 & 1912. Four penny's 1947,1941,1962 & 1968 and a 1941 nickel. Also got some random relics but nothing worth posting. I didn't have much time and it started raining but I think there is lots more to be found there yet and there has to be more silver there. Maybe the rain will help some! :)
