Hi everyone, on Good Friday I drove to Toronto and hit an old park and a 1920's school. I first hit the park but it only produced clad and a 1946 cent so I decided to go try the old school. A few minutes after arriving at the school I already had a few George cents and swung the detector over a spot, looked down and saw a gold necklace!!!I swung over it again to read the numbers and it was showing up as a 12:14 on the Ctx 3030. I picked it up and it felt really heavy which was a good sign and I knew I had just found my first GOLD necklace! One I got home I found that the making on the gold necklace had faded away but I could tell that there used to be 3 numbers. Also there was a smaller making on the clasp which I could not read or make out. Anyways, I continued on with the hunt and soon found a silver dime which was badly worn and turned out to be a 1921. I ended up finding a pile of old cents, a 1964 dime, a silver-looking pin, a bird tag, a 1919 British Half Penny and a really neat old button. The button seems to have water at the bottom, stars along the edge and something in the middle so if anyone knows what it is or how old it might be please let me know. I had a great day and now might actually start to dig the low tones. Happy Hunting.
