I returned an item to my local Walmart yesterday and I got a pristine 1964 Rosie dime back in the change. I didn't know it until I got out to my truck and put the change in my coin holder. By the time I got back inside to see if she had any more the girl had already closed out and had left for the day. I hate to even think what I missed out on by not catching her in time.

I have found a few silvers and a few wheats in my change this year. Anytime I get change I put it in my pocket and jingle it a bit. If it is there it will sound different than clad.

I know a guy who runs a liquor store and he gets silver all the time. I guess when a drunk needs a fix they will spend it knowing it is silver. (Thats Sad)

Also my family owned a bakery and one time a couple of kids came in to get a sweet tooth fix and they must have went through someones coin collection to get some loose change for a honey bun or cookie and when they left with there fix in hand my mom noticed all these odd looking coins in the cash register. They were mercs, buffalos, silver quarters. She pulled them out and set them aside but no one ever came back to claim them so she gave them to me. Im sure the kids didnt know they were doing anything wrong but the drunks are a different story!
