Silver Button

robfinds · Feb 23, 2014

Took the old Silver Sabre out this aft. And it did find silver, in the form of a nice 17th Century silver button. Also had a couple of copper coins, and a very nice undamaged medieval bronze beehive thimble.

Robert.

Cool - I was just saying how rare silver buttons are, although yours is a linked button/cuff link. Still gotta love it & the lead button is nice as well, plus a bonus beehive. :occasion14:

Button or cuff link! Both are hard to come by. And this is a pretty one too! :occasion14:

Cheers Cru, think I will clean the beehive tomorrow, small but in great shape.

Cheers Ahab, at 7.5% it's a decent drink.

Planning a trip next year for my mom and I to Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. Our ancestors came here mainly from Wales and Scotland. The Irish is my dad's side. Hope there's a few taverns over there that they don't despise Americans in:-)

Nice silver!.....those are usually torn up by the plow! Love the beehive's, too!

Sure you will have a great time. It's the same the world over, it's the so called politicians that get everybody a bad name.
