Silver Casket filled with church wealth

I was reading about some early Spanish Missionaries that buried

a "Silver Casket filled with Church wealth" in Devil's Canyon

" Canyon Diablo " in Oklahoma in 1629.. Don't know what Oklahoma
was called then, but don't think it was called Oklahoma.

I have not done a lot of research on this, But.....sounds like something

that could have happen. It's only one casket filled with goodies, not

20 or 30...anyone have anything on this?

Clayton, I spend some of this last winter searching treasure locations in Google Earth. The mouth of Devil's Canyon is at 34°50'25.88"N Lat. 99°15'30.16"W Long. That's just a mile and a quarter WSW of Soldier's Peak. I have heard that it's public land, but locked away behind private property on all sides.

Interesting Rocky,

I'll take a look at that on Google Earth. Been busy "working" with the 17 tons.
The idea of it being public land, locked away by private property is also interesting.
